A Proposal
from pablo

Over the
past decade we have seen the moderate Americans (anyone who disagrees with right-wingers) defined by the relentless radio and television talking heads as "Liberals".

This was no accident, this was a concentrated advertising campaign by the right wing to brand any, and all, who disagreed with their warped philosophy as someone they deemed as "evil". The terms became synonymous. The previous branding of their enemies as "Communist" had lost its punch since the fall of the Soviet Union, and needing a well defined evil empire at home, they chose "Liberal".

It has been a phenomenal success.

The great American Unwashed bow to the altar of branded advertising. Liberal has taken on a life of its own. Every moderate,or slightly left leaning citizen is now a slobbering radical in the eyes of the masses.

Fire must be fought with fire!

Those of us who oppose the current Administration, need to "brand"our adversaries. A conscientious effort must be made to label these people in the same way we have been labeled, so they have no where to run, no where to hide!

We have 2 years till the next election, we must use that time wisely, and often. We must fight on their terms, we cannot be the kinder, gentler citizens. The radical right-wing Republicans have proven that no strategy, no distortion, no lie, is too low for them.

Their party is run by a genius, albeit an EVIL genius, so our fight will be difficult, we must give our all.

I am not an organizer, nor a very good foot soldier, but I do have a sense of at least a small part of what must be done, and I make my humble contribution to the cause.

We must begin to define the enemy, with a single minded ferocity. They must be branded. They must be defined in as simple, and descriptively as possible, The term "Fascist" will not do, that one has been taken. (although, they do bear a resemblance to nazis, we can't go overboard, or we lose credibility, and you need that when building a brand)

I propose, that any time these people are brought up in conversation. a true brand must be used to explain exactly where they are coming from, and explain why they have arrived at their warped position.

From now on they should be branded as "the RADICAL RIGHT-WING REPUBLICANS"! Each and every one. Every time they are quoted, every time they are mentioned, every time they are introduced.

ie: "The Radical Right-Wing Republican Colin Powell said today...", or "The Radical Right-Wing Republican John McCain was at the...", or "oh, he's just a Radical-Right Wing Republican". The word Republican must be used, because that is who we will be fighting in 2006, when they make their run to try to continue control of Congress.

None shall be immune. If you want to play with the bad boys, you must pay the price!

No shortcut should be acceptable. "Wingnut"or "Freeper" , while easy off the tongue, are code words that only resonate with the faithful. "Conservative" also is not acceptable, there are actually some principled ones who cannot abide with the Bush regime.

We need to drill "Radical Right-Wing Republican" into the head of the average non-politically involved person. Eventually something may arise from the repetition, but the underlying fundamental phrase must be ingrained, it is descriptive of exactly where they are coming from, a small cadre, leading uninvolved people around by the nose to eat at their table.

Let's try it, it just might work!

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public."
